Verna Jean Nursery was started in 1967 by Verna Jean Hale. Now being operated by Verna Jean's daughter and son-in-law, Angela & Larry Bailey, we specialize in Japanese maple, Monkey Puzzle and a few other ornamental trees. We are proud to farm property that was purchased & farmed by my great grandparents and has remained in the family for nearly 100 years. As owner/operators we are responsible for all aspects of business operation, including budget, production, purchasing, sales, advertising, billing, and human resources. Manage full-time employees as well as several seasonal crews. Make on-the-spot decisions about resource prioritization in order to meet customer demands or natural timelines and complete improvement projects. Work with vendors and contractors to ensure that supplies are available when needed and that work is completed on time and within budget. Show less
