By bringing youth, teachers, and communities together, PA Youth Vote is changing the voting culture in Pennsylvania—and eventually, nationwide. With youth of color at the forefront, we are fighting back against the disenfranchisement of our communities. As Executive Director and co-founder, I direct our team as we establish our mission, a strategic plan, and our fundraising strategy to ensure the longterm success and sustainability of PA Youth Vote. We believe in the sanctity of communities, so I work closely to forge partnerships with key local and state voting organizations, including the Committee of Seventy, the Pennsylvania Department of State, and the Urban League of Philadelphia. I led the development of voter education events, including a Philadelphia-wide student assembly attended by more than 500 students. I forged relationships with key stakeholders, including the School District of Philadelphia, the City Commissioners' Office, and youth vote organizations like Vote that Jawn and Philly Youth Vote.
