Angeline is a manager that I am grateful to, for taking a chance on me and allowing me the opportunity to take the next step in my career back when she first hired me. While working with her, I was impressed by how she almost always had answers to my questions, as well as to most of the problems our team faced. She was knowledgeable and experienced, and I learned alot while working with her. I remember being often impressed by the way Angeline wrote. She had an ability to make messages and stories come alive, to make them engage with the audience and stick with them. I was often amazed by how she could almost effortlessly improve pieces which I struggled with. I am also grateful to Angeline for being generous with her guidance and advice. She was always willing to share the things she knew with the team, and that allowed me to learn much more from her than I did with my many of my previous managers. Thanks Angeline!

Angeline is a seasoned, grounded Communications professional. I have been liaising with her as part of my role of HR Integration Lead between AXA and HSBC in Singapore and her role of SVP Communications for HSBC. I have learnt tremendously from Angeline and been highly impressed by her outstanding writing skills, the creativity she applies in designing all kinds of powerful, well-grounded Comms materials, her ability to remain focused on deliverables and due dates while tactfully balancing the needs of all kinds of stakeholders. What’s more, her infectious enthusiasm and ability to maximize the customer experience make it extremely pleasant and stimulating working with her.

In Indonesia, the group represents Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Maserati, Mazda, BMW (West Jakarta), BMW M, BMW Premium Selection and MG. Within the region, the group owns a Mazda dealership in Perth, Australia, and has a stake in a Rolls-Royce dealership in Nanning, China. Eurokars Group also has a 50 per cent stake in a Rolls-Royce Motor Cars dealership in Pudong, Shanghai, China. I supervise and spearhead all marketing, branding, communications, media, PR and CSR functions for the group across four markets in the region, namely Singapore, Indonesia, China and Australia. I am responsible for issue management and crisis communication, and I am currently the Chief Enforcement Officer for the COVID-19 outbreak. I am also responsible for all Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainability initiatives across the group. During my tenure, I have launched the Singapore Management University (SMU) and Eurokars Group Endowed Scholarship which is aimed at providing financial assistance to needy undergraduates and enabling them to achieve academic excellence. Eurokars Group became the first automotive company in Singapore to establish an endowed scholarship at SMU. I also organised the donation of a vehicle which we modified for wheelchair access to SPD, formerly known as Society for the Physically Disabled. I received the prestigious Friend of the Singapore Red Cross Award on behalf of Eurokars Group from the President of the Republic of Singapore, Her Excellency, Madam Halimah Yacob at the Singapore Red Cross’ 70th Anniversary commemoration ceremony in September 2019. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, we have donated an ambulance to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) and Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) which will alleviate their efforts to fight the pandemic. I planned, developed and implemented public affairs strategy, encompassing corporate responsibility programmes, internal communications initiatives, corporate communications, and external media relations and marketing communications (across diverse business groups including Retail Banking and Wealth Management, Insurance, Private Banking, Asset Management, Global Banking and Markets, Trade and Commercial Banking) to enable HSBC to achieve its strategic communications goals and business objectives. I was an integral part of the Group's global corporate affairs network and expertise pool to ensure effective, professional and consistent communications with all stakeholders. I led crisis communications and issue management efforts and measures within the team. I also spearheaded corporate communications, and the announcement of quarterly, interim and annual financial results for the Group. I revamped the internal communications channels and platforms for the Bank including the migration of the Singapore intranet to the new global HSBC platform, and single-handedly organised the Bank's annual CEO Roadshow comprising over 20 townhall sessions for more than 3,000 Bank staff over a three-week period. On the CSR front, I launched the HSBC Water Programme, a five-year USD100 million water and sanitation programme to support EarthWatch, WaterAid and WWF to deliver water provision, protection, education and information. I supervised and managed key marketing communications campaigns for strategic sponsorship, marketing and branding events such as the signature HSBC Women's Champions, premium/affluent-tier credit card launches and art sponsorships such as Dreams and Reality, a surrealist art exhibition held at the National Museum in partnership with Musee D'orsay.
