Placement | The project was to produce a set of recommendations for the use of Virtual Reality (VR) technology to create a ‘virtual walking trail’ for the life of Jogendra Nath Sen, an Indian private soldier in the British Army who fought in the First World War (WWI). My tasks included: • Carried out extensive research about the life of Sen and the events of WWI. • Researching the technology (VR) and its educational applications. • Contacting several companies and people that have done similar projects. • Searching for funding opportunities. • Producing a preliminary evaluation plan for the VR mobile app. • Created a short film to tell the life of the Bengali soldier Jogendra Nath Sen (Premiere Pro CC and Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC). • Got involved with the Museum's social media. I created content for Museum’s Twitter account regarding the promotion of April 11, the day that the USA entered the WWI. Show less

Placement | Working as an Exhibition Assistant at the Benaki Museum was an invaluable experience. I participated energetically in all aspects concerning the organization, coordination, setting up and dismantling of exhibitions. I worked particularly on the following projects, "Anthropographes: The meaning of mold in the art" and "Alecos Levidis: Palmyra Requiem". Also, I got involved in documenting, photographing, cataloguing the works of art and I dealt with artists presenting their works to the exhibition. Moreover, I got involved in the department's archiving and logistic procedures, in exhibitions scheduling as well as in the Museum's correspondence with institutions abroad regarding future collaborations. Furthermore, I edited texts relating to the projects and prepared all the press releases. Show less
