I interviewed and hired Angelica for an internship position at the Centre on the Response to Radicalisation and Terrorism at the Henry Jackson Society, where I serve as the Director. During the interview, I found Angelica to be highly skilled, and her accomplishments were reflective of her hard work and dedication. During her internship, Angelica was extremely diligent, and consistently went above and beyond expectations. She put in extra time to ensure work was done, and was extremely thoughtful and reflective in all workshop sessions we had for an ongoing project. Despite dealing with sensitive and confidential information, she was able to handle the work with due process and care. I thoroughly recommend her for any position in the future and wish her the best of luck in her future endeavours — I am sure she will go far!

Operations (Sustainability Programme)
-
Jun 2021 - Sep 2021
- As part of Stuart's electric moped transition scheme, I managed all direct contact with couriers, which involved organising and running focus groups and demo days. The results of the focus groups spurred me to get involved with the social sustainability team to work on providing a stronger health, wellbeing and benefits framework for Stuart's couriers. - I worked independently on my own project to produce a detailed database and final analysis of electric vehicle trials and pilot schemes launched globally at Stuart over the last few years, which will be used on an ongoing basis by the business to assess the viability of future green vehicle solutions. - I was tasked with putting together a proposal for a monumental carbon offsetting programme at the company, which involved liaising with experts, meticulous research and a final presentation to key business stakeholders. Jan 2021 - Aug 2021
- The Youth Peace Initiative is a youth-led organisation funded by the Foreign Ministry of The Netherlands that promotes the inclusion of youth in peace and reconciliation processes. I'm part of a selected delegation of young Israelis and Palestinians participating in the Young Leadership Experience 2021. - I participate in bi-weekly dialogue conferences, which also involve advocacy workshops, and travelled to The Hague, Netherlands in November 2021 with a mixed Israeli/Palestinian delegation to discuss peace-building proposals with various ambassadors, Foreign Ministry officials and think-tank groups there. - I have since teamed up regularly with Israeli and Palestinian friends from the program and from the wider peace-building network in Israel/Palestine to initiate our own cross-cultural and grassroots projects.
