Angel and I have worked more than a decade in Symantec. During his tenure, he has accomplished several major localization projects and improved the process of localization. When he oversaw the Latin America localization of Norton Support, he implemented a machine translation process successfully and achieved much faster turnaround time with a large cost saving. Later, he began to lead a localization team of 24 languages in over 30 countries. His leadership was effective and respectful among the team. Despite of globally dispersed worksites, he manages the communication among stakeholders very effectively. I believe that it was possible because he has in depth knowledge of localization process and understanding of specific regional differences and needs. In addition to his achievements at work, I admired that Angel has always shown a positive attitude toward challenges and work. His positive influence made the team more enjoyable place to work.
