As the Director of Education, I was responsible for the Association's real estate school the MI Real Estate Academy (MREA). I coordinated monthly pre-licensing classes, quarterly continuing education classes, and specialty courses as needed. I spoke with potential real estate agents regarding the education process and becoming an agent in Michigan and presented upcoming education classes and events to Association members during their weekly sales meetings. I was also responsible for record keeping and reporting to the Department of Licensing. As the Director of Special Events, I was responsible for coordinating programs and events with local businesses, local and national speakers, event sites, and the Michigan REALTORS®. I oversaw and coordinated Association event budgets, contracts, concept, advertising, execution, and follow up post event. For both departments, I developed educational and event flyers, mass emails, website content, brochures, weekly e-articles, advertisements for magazines, and acted as an Association representative at expos and career fairs. I acquired funding for educational programs and events and worked with local businesses affiliated with the Association to integrate and promote their products and services to be used by Association members.I was also the Association Liaison for the Education, Community Relations, and Commercial Committees who report to the Board.
