As a former gifted student myself, I proudly write Gifted & Talented curriculum that is used with San Antonio ISD gifted students. My work allows me to be innovative and creative each day, this allows me to proactively assist students to harness their own creativity. March 2020, my 15 year old became an advocate, ally, and spearheaded a non-profit to raise awareness on the need for clear masks during COVID. Assisted with administrative tasks, social media postings, and outreach to local news outlets in our community. My role included being part of a think-tank on how to raise awareness on her mission, to increase her visibility which would increase financial support for the cause. Deaf Ally provided over 700 face masks free of charge to schools, businesses, and families throughout the United States. Show less
