  My position as a Regional Financial Controller was for a group of Anaerobic Digestion (AD) companies based in the central belt of Scotland. My experience of the Renewable Energy sector spans +10 years; I joined Energen Biogas (EBG) in 2011. It was an exciting time growing alongside the original business which first started exporting electricity to the National Grid in 2011. This sense of anticipation has maintained over the years as the business grew and changed and continued to diversify. In 2018 the company was acquired by an investment platform which brought another two Scottish businesses under my umbrella. It was my responsibility to look after all aspects of finance both at an operational level and at a platform level reporting to the investors. Prior to this I worked in various accountancy roles within Renewi UK Services Ltd. (prev. Shanks Waste Management Ltd). My experience included financial accountancy for the Scottish business and financial planning for various business units throughout the UK including PFIs, chemical waste, vehicles and landfill. Before going in the Waste Sector, I worked in the NHS.
