The Hon. Angela Arkin is one of the smartest lawyers I know. Her dedication to the family law community in Colorado is unmatched. I have always had the utmost respect for her. First, as a practicing divorce lawyer, then as a longtime District Court Judge, and now in her newest venture doing unbundled legal work at The Harris Law Firm. I have no doubt she will exceed everyone's expectations in her new role, and that she will continue to serve the legal community in many ways. I have worked with Judge Arkin not only as an attorney representing parties in divorce and custody actions in her courtroom, but she and I have also worked closely for years co-editing the Colorado Bar Association, Family Law Section's Bench Bar Book. The BBB is one of the most comprehensive, widely used, domestic relations handbooks available in Colorado. It was designed originally for judicial officers, but more recently has been adapted to assist divorce and custody lawyers. Thank you, Angela, for all that you've done and continue to do. With a well-deserved reputation as a brilliant and incisive former domestic relations jurist, Angela stands out as also seeing "the big picture" and remaining pragmatic and common sense in her analysis and problem-solving with clients. The bar and public-at-large are exceedingly fortunate to have her available to dispense advice and provide unbundled legal services. (The majority of former Judges limit their services to formal high end ADR work and are largely inaccessible to ordinary folks needing wise and experienced direction.) Her commitment to the new Self-Represented Resource Center is a value-based gift to the Denver community!
