Portwall Lane Project, Bristol: A £27m office development in Bristol city centre for which I was project engineer responsible for the detailed design of the building structural and the planning, checking and co-ordination of drafting work. I gained experience of reinforced concrete design for elements including pile caps, ground beams, columns, core stability shear walls and retaining walls. An important aspect of the project was the presence of industrial archaeological remains that were required to be kept intact.Southgate Development, Bath: A recent regeneration project in the city centre of Bath that comprises retail, leisure and restaurant space, new housing and integrated transport facilities. I was responsible for structural design of two of the buildings including the department store, and worked closely with architect, contractor and our own substructure team as the whole development sits above a three-storey basement.
