As part of the Linking Lives Program at Virginia Tech, I took classes to prepare for the role of educator in a classroom setting as well as cultural sensitivity training for two months in Lugano, Switzerland. I created curriculum for grades 1-12, which would be implemented during my time as a student teacher in Rilima, Rwanda. While in Rwanda, I also participated in programs in coordination with NGO Fondazione Marcegaglia Onlus (FMO) to aid in the support of the local community.
