Responsible for the Operations department of a London based hedge fund manager covering settlements, fund administration, regulatory reporting, risk, performance measurement and accounting.I have extensive knowledge of different fund structures including hedge funds, UCITs funds and managed accounts. I am responsible for setting up systems within the operations department ensuring that risk is minimised. I have led projects to select a PMS and to implement it. I set up and manage relationships with external service providers including auditors, prime brokers and administrators. I am responsible for the firms ICAAP and regulatory reporting to the FCA. On the accounting side I am responsible for producing monthly accounts, annual budgets, cash flows VAT returns and reviewing tax computations for the group. I also review the tax reporting for the funds including K-1 reporting, reporting fund calculations and CGT calculations.
