The Macquarie University Widening Participation Unit (WPU) is funded by the Australian Government's HEPPP funding, with the aim of increasing accessibility to allow students from all backgrounds to obtain a tertiary education. The WPU run programs to support students from refugee, non-English speaking and rural/remote backgrounds. LEAP stands for Learning, Education, Aspiration and Participation. My role is to plan, administer and facilitate programs and events coordinated by the WPU Project Team including off-site and on-site events (campus visits from students, parents/caregivers, and community groups) with the aim of supporting the objectives of LEAP programs. I work with all teams from Refugee Mentoring, NSW Equity Consortium and Community Outreach programs. Show less
