  Angela Greetham, is the Moving and Handling and Restraint Minimisation Coordinator for the BOPDHB. Angela has a 40 year career within the Health Service in the United Kingdom and the last 10 years in New Zealand. Angela's background in the UK as a Registered Nurse includes experience in acute clinical nursing, PACU, sexual health, Practise Nursing and employed in a urology unit for the last 8 years. Since arriving in New Zealand in 2005 Angela was employed by the BOPDHB, as a proficient nurse, preceptor and clinical assessor of New Graduates and Student nurses within Tauranga Hospital. Since 2012 Angela joined the Practice Development Group of Nurse Educators as a Senior Nurse and now coordinates Health Systems and processes associated with Restraint Minimisation in order to meet the requirements of the NZ Standard Restraint Minimisation and Safe Practice NZS 8141.2.2008. Angela's role also includes management of the Moving and Handling Code of Practice and Joint ACC/EHS Guidelines on Patient Handling. Angela is the chairman of PRAG (Practise of Restraint Advisory Group) and works in partnership with the PRAG and the Manger of Employee Health and Safety Service and other internal and external key operational staff to monitor and evaluate all processes and activities related to moving and handling and restraint minimisation.
