My work involved developing and quantifying genome sizes for decapods in order to compare genome size with latitudinal range and body size. The publication depicting my findings is currently under review by the Journal of Biogeography. Side projects included investigating the changes in character habits of isopods residing in the Duwamish River, a superfund site, as compared to local uncontaminated sites and completing biodiversity surveys around watersheds in the greater Seattle area.
