  California Health Information Partnership & Services Organization (CalHIPSO) is the largest of 62 federally designated Regional Extension Centers in the country tasked with the goal of assisting health care providers with the selection and implementation of electronic health record technology. I served as the Project Specialist for the Technical Services Unit and later with the Business Development Department at CalHIPSO. I managed several projects for the organization, including a project documenting technology requirements and data analysis needs for a local health plan. I also worked on a project developing a Practice Application Suite for the local health plan focusing on determining the feasibility and costs associated with sponsoring a variety of health information technology services for their independent physician members. The project included providing a bundled set of services ranging from project management support, electronic health records, clinical decision support, health information exchange, and data analytics. I was also the implementation project manager of a web-based analytics platform to facilitate rapid electronic health record adoption, and managed a statewide pilot project to assist 950 primary care providers reach Meaningful Use compliance. In the course of managing these projects, I drafted project plans, proposals, requirements documentation, progress reports; conducted healthcare related research and analysis; and delivered presentations and online training sessions for my projects.   MedAmerica is one of the leading healthcare practice management organizations in the United States. MedAmerica manages hospital-based physician group practices, with expertise in emergency medicine, hospital medicine, ambulatory & urgent care, and other acute care specialties. As a Regional Administrative Coordinator, I supported three Regional Medical Directors and clients from twenty-three hospital sites, prioritizing requests from these parties and communicating regularly with both internal and external clients. I also assisted the Regional Medical Directors in collecting clinical data, and using this information to prepare presentations and annual reports to hospital CEOs. One notable project I managed in collaboration with the MedAmerica Data Team was the coordination of over 1,800 year-end surveys taken by hospital CEOs, providers, physician assistants, and emergency department leadership. As the project lead, I worked with the Data Team, Operations Group, and several executives to implement an electronic survey process, analyze responses, and report survey results to clients and the executive team.   Freeman Elementary school is a year-round public school serving 523 students in grades K-6 in Woodland, California. At the time I served as a teacher, Freeman Elementary School was a Program Improvement School with a high concentration of children from low income, English as a second language families. As a kindergarten and later a third grade teacher, I collaborated with fellow teachers to develop, evaluate, and revise the kindergarten and third grade curricula, which included designing and implementing assessment standards. This process involved analyzing teaching data and consulting with outside consultants and resulted in improved student achievement each year while I was teaching.
