Angela is one of the most dynamic people with whom I have ever had the pleasure of working. She has fluent expertise in the handling of complex data analysis, and she uses it to push our team beyond the boundaries of project evaluation, telling population health stories and identifying opportunities to improve healthcare delivery. Angela has demonstrated incredible leadership in the area of maternal and child health, growing a statewide quality improvement collaborative and representing its efforts at the national level. Interwoven throughout Angela's work is her dedication to reducing healthcare disparities and maintaining the highest level of integrity in everything she does.

Program Coordinator for the Health Research and Educational Trust at the New Jersey Hospital Association (NJHA). At the NJHA, I was primarily tasked with projects associated with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid's (CMS) Partnerships for Patients campaign's Hospital Improvement Innovation Network (HIIN). I managed the data tracking and analysis of all relevant clinical measures (NHSN, NDNQI, ICD 9/10) from all participating acute care hospitals in the NJHIIN, and prepare data reports for submission to CMS. In addition, I built automated data reports to support the various quality improvement hospital collaboratives actively working to improve patient safety in New Jersey. As a Master Trainer for the TeamSTEPPS program, I also provided training to clinical staff on communication tools to spread behaviors that build a culture of safety at hospitals. As part of the efforts to reduce disparities in health, I also helped co-train hospital bilingual staff on the proper mode of interpretation, which provides interpreters with the skills and knowledge to bridge the communication gaps between providers and patients.I also led the New Jersey Perinatal Quality Collaborative, working closely with all NJ birthing facilities to reduce first time cesarean sections in low-risk patients and to implement AIM obstetrical safety bundles to reduce cases of obstetric hemorrhage and severe hypertension. I prepared and submitted quarterly reports to the CDC, contribute to grant yearly funding renewal reports, and provided periodic updates to the CDC project director. I was responsible for all Alliance for Innovation of Maternal Health (AIM) deliverables, including data collection, data analysis, hospital team engagement, reporting, etc. In this capacity I also built reports for rapid data feedback to participating hospitals and to support quality improvement efforts through PDSA cycles.
