Trainworks is a not-for-profit visitor attraction that showcases the important state-owned heritage rail collection stored and displayed on site at Thirlmere. My role was to advise and assist the executive management team and the Board to establish the appropriate corporate structure, governance and policy frameworks for the new company. This task was completed as planned at the end of the 2012-13 financial year. This role grew out of my previous work in assisting the wind-down of the old SRA (State Rail Authority) including management of displaced staff and proper disposition of surplus Railway assets.
