As a Language and Culture Assistant, I was responsible for designing and teaching curriculum in a Spanish secondary school in English for over 16 different classes, totaling over 400 students that I worked with each week. Through my two years in this role I was able to enhance my creativity and communication skills by developing different manners of teaching and translating information with students of varying levels of English comprehension. I learned and have acquired great organizational skills through this role due to having to come to the classroom prepared with dynamic presentations and multiple different activities to keep students engaged in the subject material. As an Information Governance Assistant with Ropes and Gray, I was responsible for ensuring that the information of the firm was kept confidential and well organized. During my time with the firm, I had conducted large scale transfers and internal audits. These audits taught me a great about teamwork as my team and I would work together to review thousands of documents that needed to be transferred from the firm in a very short amount of time. I learned a great deal about attention to detail through internal audits, as I was responsible for correcting any errors made when creating or inputting any files within our internal system. Lastly, another responsibility of mine was to help train individuals outside of my department on our processes with uploading information into our database. Show less

My time at Polo club apartments was incredibly insightful. One of my responsibilities included touring prospective new residents around the property and explaining important information, such as price points, contract term length, and any promotions we had at the moment. This provided me an incredible opportunity to improve my public speaking and interpersonal communication skills, as I was touring multiple prospective residents and their family members every day. I improved my problem solving and customer service skills in this role since I was also responsible with assisting existing residents on the day-to-day with any issues they were experiencing. Working in real estate also taught me the importance of being proactive and by giving prospective residents all of the necessary documents to sign immediately after showing them the property and seeing their interest and following up with them consistently, I had a very high rate of new contracts signed and renewals.
