  During this project I was tasked with doing research on finding the right chemicals to help recover wetland area located at the park. This required me to collect soil samples, have them tested and do an analysis on which sealant chemical worked with both the ecosystem and the soil. The second project assigned consisted of teaming up with local water quality chemist, marine biologist, and environmental biologist to perform water pollution research at, Old Sabine Bottom River. That research included data collection and lab testing on the mussel population. We ran PH tests on about six areas of the river, collected over thirty species of muscles to get written data on. We thoroughly completed our objective and collected samples of the river water to the level of ammonium and see if it was affecting the population of mussel, by using a spectrophotometer.   While assisting a Ph.D Chemist I was apart of the formulation process of creating a CBD-based product that contained the chemical compound, cyclodextrin. We ran several trials on the product to get purest results. Performed analysis during each trial. Collected and recorded data of each trial. Attended industry-specific events to learn more about the CBD mark and products and to network and meet vendors and suppliers.
