Project Size: 550 MM USDProject Description: The framework agreement, which is called Greater Ekofisk Modifications (GEM), is one of the largest maintenance and modifications contracts on the Norwegian continental shelf. The first GEM contract was signed during the summer of 2002. It ends in 2012. In the spring of 2011 Aibel was awarded a new frame agreement. This one, which is named Greater Ekofisk Modifications Contract (GEMC), is valid for five years, with options of three plus three years. On the basis of the GEM, Aibel carries out around 200 modification projects of varying size at the installations at Ekofisk every year. The work involves engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation and completion.Activities performed: As Automation discipline engineer, I am in charge of the full development of the design and procurement technical assistance phases in the instrumentation and control systems area, of various projects ranging from 500K to 5MM USD size.
