This is a small etsy shop I run where I sell 3D printed models that I make with my 3D printer. I model figures using Solidworks. I also work for commissions if a person asks for a custom part, toy or figure. I use this mostly to practice modeling and to get more experience using 3D printers. Responsible for leading a team in designing functional and reliable upgrades to a solar-powered catamaran. Performed stress-strain analysis to determine the stresses and strains in fixtures and fasteners in order to design the catamaran hull, drive train, and solar panels. Performed composite material stress analysis to determine optimal carbon fiber layer orientation for the hull. Designed and performed testing and technical troubleshooting of various carbon fiber and nomex honeycomb samples using bend test, tension test, and torsion test machines to ensure feasibility and usability. Completed heat transfer analysis to assist in design of oven for curing the composite boat hull. Calculated size of cooling fans needed to dissipate heat from internal power supply, and designed cooling system for the solar boat electric motors. Created 3D models with SolidWorks for fabrication of a mold for the carbon fiber boat hull. Prepared written reports documenting engineering analysis, technical direction, and verbally presented information to project leaders. Trained the mechanical team on stress analysis, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and Solidworks. Show less

Worked on a project to repave the US 101 freeway in Los Angeles. I would manage work flow between the excavating crew, concrete crew, carpenters, and the grouting team by keeping each updated on progress and making sure they understand where we needed to be. I would also log all materials that were being used, when each material was being used and how much of each material was being used. I also measured grade to see if we were in the required range for excavating. From this job I learned a lot about time management since we had to finish each shift very quickly to open the freeway. I also learned a lot about the construction process, safety and how to solve problems in short notice. Show less
