Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) are neuro-developed mental conditions which mainly condition the interaction in the social area of the affected people. In order to improve this disorder, different therapies have been developed, but there is none is working for all the cases due to the high variety of affections that these people can show. However, several studies indicate that they show preference toward interaction with objects, such as computers and robots, rather than with humans. The aim of this work is to develop actions of a social robot, in terms of movements, sounds, and lights in order to interact with children with ASD. These activities should create effective situations in order to make the children involved in the therapy so that results can be improved. In most robots developed until this moment, two different issues have been observed: the robot is very expensive or the robot is made just to develop and improve a concrete skill of the children. Taking these issues into account, our aim was to build a new, full equipped social robot, named Lagun, which has a relatively low cost and is able to interact with children in order to support the improvement of different skills.Lagun is equipped with an RGB camera, speakers, ultrasound sensors, sensitive sensors, LEDs, Arduino Mega and Raspberry Pi 4, which enable the robot to identify the user and its intention, and then the adequate action to be taken at each time. The main focus of this work is in the interaction between the child and the robot, which leads the work to an accurate development of the movements, taking care at each time that the movement being performed is appealing for the child to make this one involved in the interaction. A way to complement this movement, will be by the use of the correct sounds and lights which leads to easier understanding of the state of the robot.

Rhythmic gymnastics coach
-
Oct 2015 - Jun 2018
I worked three years as gymnastic coach with children from 4 to 15 years. I had to use the imagination to teach children the basics of gymnastic and to create dances to show them to parents at the end of the courses. I have worked alone with groups of 20 people which taught me discipline and made me a responsible person.
