I'm part of an excellent team curating a culture of Wellbeing and Personal Development in heart of our international school community. This culture affirms to every student that they have intrinsic value, that their individual and our collective wellbeing matters. This cultural growth has been accredited through the National Children's Bureau's Wellbeing Award in Schools. I've founded and now lead the Wellbeing Centre, a dedicated space where students can find a quiet place during a busy day and make new connections. The Wellbeing Centre is a comfortable setting where 1:1 personal development sessions and life skill group work can take place. The 1:1 personal development sessions and life skill work is facilitated through a Solution Focused Approach Model. SFA enables students to recognise their current situation and to own their agency and to recognise the opportunities for change that lay ahead. I deliver CPD for Staff, training them in SFA, listening skills and supporting students. Over the past 3 years, I've introduced the Peer Education Program from the Mental Health Foundation. The program trains Sixth Form Students to become Mental Health Leaders in the school, delivering mental health workshops to KS3 students as well as volunteering in the Wellbeing Centre. I'm currently involved in the reshaping of our PSHE Curriculum. Enabling the content to be responsive to issues and current events as well as laying down a scheme of work that facilitates conversations around who we are, in an ever-evolving world. During the Covid Lockdown, I created daily Wellbeing Youtube Videos to support the students mental health through what was a challenging season. Show less

www.courtside.org.uk Courtside is a series of conversations exploring the journey sport-parents go on as we support our children in the sport they love. Through Courtside you’ll hear from Players, Parents, Coaches and experts in the fields of sports science and adolescent development in order that as Courtside Parents we can create a positive courtside environment, meaning that our children flourish through the culture we create around the sport that they love. So, how's your courtside culture? Show less

It's a joint venture between the Church Urban Fund and the Diocese of London, which covers 18 local authority areas in London, including the City of London, and is home to 3.6 million people. It's a new initiative in the Church of England’s response to poverty in London, and is part of a national network of joint ventures initiated by Church Urban Fund. So if you live or work in the Diocese of London (North of the River: Staines - Isle of Dogs and North up to Enfield) and are involved in addressing issues of poverty; then I'd love to hear from you.
