I'm still involved in R&D. New global lubricant developments and long term investment projects are part of the game. We steer the product management group according to the needs in the lube market and demands. Daily actions & decisions need to be taken on planning and production level in our production facilities over the world.Business development in Southern-America is key-target in the next coming 2 years.This challenge combines M&S with a broad responsability, technical knowledge, R&D follow up and managing !   After a few years Oleon contacted me for a M&S job with a more deeper technical character and a broader responsibility within the lubricants world. OLEON NV could offer me a product management job for their ester business in Europe for the industrial and automotive market. Responsibility for the product management & marketing of Oleon's ester business for lube applications like metalworking, hydraulics, marine, automotive markets,.... Market segment was West & Eastern Europe and Russia so a lot of travelling was requested. Second part was the technical responsibility for big key customers within the European and Russian market. I was strongly involved in R&D developments we have with key-partners like BP Castrol, Shell, Total, Fuchs, Houghton and all the additive companies... It was a M&S job with a strong technical ( oleo-chemistry ) character next to the daily production & logistic operations in our plants.   After obtaining my Master in Chemical Engineering, I started working as Project Engineer Lubricants for MAVOM. I began to specialize myself in lubricant tribology and mineral/synthetic lubes like PAO oils, greases and dry lubricants ( anti-friction coatings ). In my MAVOM period, my job consisted mainly out of M&S responsibility for lube projects within the OEM market in BENELUX region ( Goodyear, Hydro,...). I was responsible for the Statoil ( Norway ) and Dow Corning ( Germany ) lubricants. Technical support to the entire sales team was part of the function. Improving/optimization of lubricant implementation was one of the most important occupations. Tribology, critical parameters of lubrication regimes, cost reduction and technical assistance were a few of the daily business. Show less
