Supporting the staff and IT estate at the brewery and the bars round the UK. Main roles included some desktop support, server and network support. Projects I worked on included redesigning the core network at the brewery, migrating email from a legacy SBS 2011 server to Office 365, and introducing a new backup and DR solution with cloud storage for offsite replication. Supporting the Leys and Bancon Groups, including the tenant's of the company-owned business centres. Only person in company with networking experience, as such all tasks including troubleshooting, upgrading and configuring of the Cisco network equipment was my sole responsibility. Backup and pro-active monitoring of all network devices, including tenant’s equipment using appropriate tools. Setup of new sites/offices, including the procurement and provisioning of network equipment to allow integration with current network. Assisting in migrating new tenant’s IT systems into the building and ensuring no outages or incompatibilities are encountered. Responsible for upgrades of hardware to client specification / budget and overseeing the implementation right through to completion. Completed several projects including network security for tenants, an Office 365 migration for a tenant, new VM/SAN solution for the group, setup several new domains and also a cloud-based backup solution.
