Architected and upgraded a legacy AngularJS app to Angular (version 9+). Built key features (a modular configurable wizard; a responsive client-facing scheduling app; to name a few) and released frequently to meet the needs of the market. I was responsible for maintaining and enhancing Medly Dashboard - a portal for clinicians and administrators to keep updated on patients with multiple chronic diseases - and Ned, a prostate cancer survivorship app. Worked on a multi-engine Rails backend that had to sync with external hospital databases and an AngularJS front end. Worked with Cordova to ship our apps on mobile. Grantbook is a social purpose business specializing in the procurement, implementation and management of cloud-based tools for grantmakers and their networks. I assisted in the set up and maintenance of CRM-based systems (Fluxx.io) for multiple grant-making organizations in the USA and Canada. I also wrote custom code for some implementations, within the confines of the system. My primary research was on health care innovations in developing Asian countries and how they can inform and improve the health status of First Nations people in British Columbia, Canada. In addition to my independent research project, I have also provided support on a business survey of Canadian firms operating in the ASEAN, articles on state-owned enterprises investing in Canada, and grant proposals to the governments of Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Atlantic Canada. I have presented my research at a Health Policy in Asia conference at the University of British Columbia.

Working alongside the Medical Co-Director, I ran one of the largest student organizations on the University of Toronto campus to increase student awareness and engagement in global health issues. UTIHP is comprised of multiple groups working under 3 pillars - act (volunteering, service), connect (information, research) and engage (awareness raising). During our term we introduced major reforms into UTIHP to ensure its future financial sustainability, streamlined all branding and solidified its vision and mission. We also reinstated UTIHP as a charitable organization with the Canada Revenue Agency.

We stayed in a small coastal town on the southern coast of Cambodia during the summer of 2008, collecting water samples from ponds, broken wells, working wells, and anywhere else that people collected drinking water. The samples were tested for heavy metal contamination and E. Coli - both of which were found in high concentration in many areas. Households were surveyed with the aid of a translator to assess people's knowledge of water sanitation and safety. I worked with a team of five other students, led by a post-graduate engineer.
