Rescued a failing nonprofit environmental organization and propelled it to a position of public stature, program strength, and financial stability. Developed a comprehensive strategy for litter prevention and beautification in Rockland County, involving strategic partnerships with government officials, schools, highway departments, police, businesses and non-profit organizations. Created and coordinated various enforcement, cleanup, education, arts and beautification campaigns involving thousands of volunteers, numerous community partners and sponsors, and highly visible community impacts with excellent media coverage. Supervised daily operations of a busy non-profit agency, including: hiring and training staff, volunteers and board members; budgeting; database development; newsletter and website production. Raised annual budget each year by winning several grants per year, recruiting corporate sponsors, and running fundraising events and membership drives. Led an organizational restructuring process that cut costs dramatically while adding new program capacity.
