      • Jan 2003 - Mar 2012

In 2003 Luxaflex Uk moved to much larger premises and expanded the number of products made in Birmingham. I was promoted to this new management role and dealt with various projects through out. These included planning and setting up the large warehouse required to hold the increased levels of stock and arranging the supply and shipping of the various ready made blinds we were now starting to import and hold as stock. One stand out project for myself was in 2007 we ceased the manufacture of plantation shutters and decided to import them in from china, with the shutter product Manager we found a factory in China to supply us, and made regular trips to china to modify the product to suit our requirements and ensure our quality standards were met.The new site and stock requirements meant that as we expanded I now had a purchasing and warehouse team reporting to me , and I had overall responsibility for purchasing and maintaining the necessary stock levels for the site, which was in the region of £1.2 million.Part of my role was also to offer technical support to customers purchasing the new plantation shutter range and I was also the contact for any customers with aftersale issues which I would resolve with them.
