Beijing Tech Hive is our company’s signature event for entrepreneurs and venture capital investors in Beijing. We have had a successful track record of running these types of events in Beijing, including partnering with TechCrunch to host the TechCrunch Disrupt Beijing Hackathon last October. Through our efforts, this event attracted over four hundred software and web developers and we also arranged a breakfast with Jeff Xiong, Tencent’s CTO, as a prize for the winning team. Our customized methodology attracts investment-ready entrepreneurs and helps them accelerate their progress through a 54-hour hackathon-style weekend. So far, out of about 20 teams of entrepreneurs, three have publicly announced funding as a result of participating in our events. Investors include Blue Run Ventures, Innovation Works, 500 Startups as well angels like Fritz Demopoulos, co-founder of Qunar.com (which received a $300M investment from Baidu last year). Show less
