National Account Manager
-
Jul 2018 - Present
IWS is a national water treatment and hygiene Company in the UK and my role is to manage two of their large corporate customers within the Facilities Management arena. Through developing relationships at C-suite level the turnover has increased above budget across all sites and I have successfully won a number of multi- site contracts. I also manage the National Account Manager for a national care home provider who have approximately 320 properties, working in partnership with their Senior Estates team to minimise the risk of Legionnaires Disease at their homes. IWS is a good employer and is a very friendly environment. I would recommend them to any prospective employee and offers a comprehensive service for all legionella related works with over forty years of industry knowledge and experience. A list of services offered includes risk assessments, water hygiene monitoring, tank cleaning, remote monitoring, RPZ valve servicing and remedial works and repairs. We offer a responsive national coverage. An integral part of the role is to work with the local sales and operations team to identify new business opportunities within the key customers and then work alongside the regional teams to ensure successful implementation and ensure client satisfaction, by ensuring services are delivered in accordance with the contract specification and agreed KPI’s. This is done through close co-operation with the Operations team and regular client meetings, providing detailed reports on service completion, H&S issues, KPI targets, recommendations for remedial work and technical information for ensuring compliance with current legislation and best practice. Senior Technical Sales Representative
-
Feb 2011 - Jun 2018
I joined Clearwater as a Senior Sales Engineer as part of my continuing progression within the Technical Sales industry. My role was to manage Yorkshire to the North East and develop existing and new accounts ensuring challenging sales targets are met on a monthly basis. In addition I worked alongside the Regional Sales Manager to mentor and train the more junior members of the team to ensure that they also achieved target. Year on year I exceeded budget which meant a place at the Clearwater ‘Founders Club.’ A breakdown of my sales performance is as follows: 2013 10% over budget 2014 18% over budget 2015 3% over budget 2016 18% over budget 2017 1% over budget My major accounts lay within both the industrial and institutional market place with values varying from £5k per annum to £150k per annum, the main revenue being generated through ‘contractual’ and ‘one off’ sales within the Legionella arena. I dealt with all levels of the buying hierarchy from Managing Directors to Facilities Managers or Engineers as well as Procurement and Safety Managers Show less

Business Development Manager National Account
-
Feb 2009 - Mar 2011
Since being chosen to TUPE to this new start up sector of Promanex Ltd my role initially was to set up the technical sales team within the service lead industry of legionella control. The main market sector was within the ‘Institutional arena’ that is Councils, Education and MOD sites. I designed the sales process from prospecting through qualification and closing the opportunity. Once successfully implemented the role then developed into Key Accounts or National Accounts Manager. I managed four of the top five accounts for which turnover was around £1million per annum and secured £300k of new business in the first full year of sales. I identified numerous opportunities for the company and established myself as an integral part of the new business team. Show less

Worked as a morning paper boy from Monday morning to Saturday morning. Didn't work Sundays as they were very heavy with the supplement sections !! Despite the fact I was bitten by both an Alsatian and a Doberman as part of my work I absolutely loved this job being out in the fresh air although the pay was fairly rubbish at a starting wage of £2.20 a week.
