My current responsibilities require me to Formulate/update the Academy Performance Plan, working with Lead Professional Development Phase Coach, Head of Coaching/Youth Development Phase Lead Coach, Foundation Phase Lead Coach and other support staff. Overall monitoring, managing, developing and implementation of the Academy coaching/fixtures programme in line with EPPP requirements and Academy Performance Plan working with Lead Professional Development Phase Coach, Head of Coaching/Youth Development Phase Coach, Foundation Phase Lead Coach and other support staff. Conducting an annual self-assessment of the Academy in accordance with EPPP rules and requirements. Providing all necessary assistance to the league in connection with its on-going monitoring and annual evaluations of the Academy and to the ISO in connection with the ISO audits. Management and preparation of Academy ensuring monthly budgeting meetings to monitor expenditure and in doing so co-ordinating with football club accountant, to meet the needs of the Academy. Manage and deliver mid-year and yearly financial reports on all aspects of finance to the Football League to co-ordinate and monitor Academy expenditure. Manage the pay-roll system for part-time staff at the Academy, assisting football club accountant. Be the strategic lead for the Academy, specifically working alongside Community Trust in creating strong local partnerships with Junior Clubs and Leagues. Attend annual meetings for gathering updates and reports from the FA and FL and local regional bodies as required. Ensure clear professional communication is in place with all stakeholders including facilities, schools, clubs, players and parents. I completed my PGCE at Edge Hill University receiving a grade 1 for my summative teaching report and was nominated to become the subject specialist liaison in sport for the college. At the college’s annual general conference, I was presented the college ‘star’ award for my contribution towards teaching and learning. I have been involved in the delivery/tutoring of the level 2/3/spinning active IQ fitness instruction courses which has involved me planning and delivering industry recognised qualifications. I have taught students how to implement and instruct fitness programs to enhance sporting/personal achievement through the correct strength and conditioning methods related to clients needs. This has involved issues around health and safety, technique, anatomy and physiology terminology, principles of fitness, implementing aerobic curve, warm-ups and cool-downs, use of free weights and resistance machines, core stability exercises and different functional training techniques. (Academy u9/18) Strength and Conditioning Coach and u15 Academy Coach

I worked closely with the Shrewsbury Town FC youth team (u9-18’s) applying individualized training programs, prehabilitation plans and also delivered specific sports functional training sessions. Biomechanical testing methods were used during the process to implement specific training programs that aim to enhance their personal development. Additionally, I have worked closely with the physiotherapy department to implement exercise rehabilitation programs to aid recovery specific to their requirements. I also delivered large group sessions involving spinning classes and was involved within the performance analysis of some of the players. I also coached the u15 academy team at the club and adhered to all the EPPP requirements. Show less
