I developed molds that created greatly improved definition in the industrial setting. This was necessary because the designs were mine and I needed a crisp concrete cast to get the effect I wanted. The cast concrete products were sold in Lowes. Developed casting, mold-making, and filming techniques to study airflow in the nasal passages. Six papers were published, and Dr. Morgan and I gave a series of lectures about art and science. The project is still going on. The basic information is being used to develop new surgical procedures. As usual, what I learned in this project was brought back into the studio. I started casting concrete, and soon was in a show in Allan Stone Gallery in NYC showing illusionistic cast concrete corrugated cardboard and styrofoam packing material that was not cleaned up.
