- Monitored over 20 agencies in 8 different states; inspecting over 150 units - Successfully assisted states with over 20 grant applications - Responsible for individually monitoring Minnesota, Iowa and Washington; completing extensive DOE checklists and monitoring reports Provided direct support to the DOE to ensure that Grantees are following applicable DOE and state standards through field, programmatic, administrative, and desktop monitoring. Administrative monitoring included, but was not limited to, evaluating Davis Bacon, fiscal compliance, inventory management, and organizational structures. Field monitoring was accomplished through visiting completed and in-progress units at the Subgrantee to ensure the effectiveness and quality of work performed and prescribed at the local level. Weatherization expertise was utilized to train and educate state officials, local auditors, inspectors, and weatherization installers on best practices and to ensure states and Subgrantees were using auditing software, health and safety standards, and lead safe work practices appropriately. Subsequent to the completion of monitoring procedures, prepared detailed reports describing the current status, concerns, and findings discovered during monitoring and addressing corrective actions required to move forward. In addition to monitoring, applications including formula grants and SERC (Sustainable Energy Resource for Consumers) revisions were reviewed to ensure compliance. Particular attention was paid to SERC technologies and guidance was provided to ensure states have access to the most efficient processes and appropriate technologies to exhaust funds in a timely manner. During this process, technical, financial, and administrative assistance was offered to ensure grants were accepted and funded properly.
