The Facility Manager is responsible for the technical team (± 4 co-workers) and reports to the Business Navigation and Operations Manager. Coordinates and supports facility management activities of the store and ensures that the it’s a sustainable, safe, clean and functional environment for IKEA co-workers, visitors and customers. Other responsibilities include ensuring that the site of IKEA is maintained to a common standard comparable to other stores – in shape as new – in order to promote and protect the IKEA brand and secure the IKEA position as the leading home furnishing retailer. Translate the business plan of the store to a clear action plan for your department and you implement the different actions. •Inspire, motivate and engage your team to achieve the goals, who will impact the growth and profitability on the long-term. •Responsible for the maintenance of the building and make sure that commitments are correctly followed up, in line with local legislation. •Create, implement and manage the yearly planning in order to follow up the buildings and working spaces and by this meet the predetermined standards, within the agreed time frame and budget. •Manage, evaluate and track the performance of external partners and suppliers and provide feedback if the results do not match the agreements that were made. •Give updates about the situation according to environment-related initiatives of IKEA. •Recruit, develop and lead your team in an honest and constructive way by encouraging mutual feedback Show less
