LYCOPODIUM MINERALS is an Australian engineering company, specializing in mineral processing, material handling and infrastructure projects. LYCOPODIUM MINERALS has undertaken studies and projects across a broad range of commodities including gold, base metals, iron ore, uranium, rare earths and industrial minerals. Completed a graduate program in Mechanical Design Drafting, I had learned from various senior mentors who are some of the best in the Industry. My time of being a trainee in LYCOPODIUM allowed me to be trained under different disciplines of engineering design such as structural, piping, and electrical and instrumentation; this allow me to be further aware of the interfaces of mechanical designs with other disciplines in the mining industry. Aside from completing my graduate programme I was also involved in study works and project works. My role included: • Creating mechanical GAs for heap leaching process plant as a part of feasibility study • Exploring concepts of plant GAs including a "knock-down" plant design • Producing conceptual layout for primary crushing • Participated in the design of a conveyor to secondary crushing, my involvement included creating the belt profile and the head chute • As part of my structural training module, I was tasked with the design of the pipe racks in the floatation area. Under the guidance of my mentor and collaborating with the piping designers and the structural engineers, I was given the opportunity to take over the design of all the pipe racks in that area. • Updating the stair registry and cast-ins registry • Involved in the design of the stockpile tripper conveyor • My graduate programme also include piping designs involving creating piping GAs based on P&IDs, drawing isometrics with the bill of materials, and producing flow diagram.
