I had the pleasure of working with Andrew when I first started at CDW. He was one of my engineers, and helped me build the foundation of my knowledge around networking. Because of Andrew, I have been very successful in selling networking solutions to all of my customers and even today will reach out to him for questions I have about solutions, although we know longer align. Thank you for all you do Andrew, you are a huge asset to CDW and HPE.

As a User Experience (UX) Engineer at Convr, I'll be building on my experience as a Convr software engineer where, over the past two years, I had focused on both Web Design and Web Development. Over those two years, I worked on internal (Convr initiated) and external (Client requested) features and enhancements to the Convr platform by working through my teammates primarily within Product Management. In contrast, as a User-Experience Engineer, I will divide my time as needed between Front-End Web Development/Design and working directly with select Convr clients, prospects and our alliance partners. In addition, my internal collaboration efforts will extend to other areas of Convr's business such as working closely with external industry consultants, internal industry experts, sales etc., with the purpose of gaining a better understanding of our customers' wants and needs so as to deliver the best possible user experience within the Convr platform. Aruba Networks is the global leader in wired, wireless, and SD-WAN solutions that uses AI to automate and secure the network from edge to cloud. As a Networking Solution Specialist for Aruba (a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company), I supported Aruba's largest business partner, CDW, where I was solely responsible for managing our technical partnerships with CDW’s Corporate, Healthcare, and Financial Services verticals. Whether I was networking salespeople to drive new opportunity identification or helping a client navigate the selection, design, and procurement of a new technology, I took ownership of every opportunity and strove to add value and confidence every step of the way. • Inside Solutions Architect - Networking
      • Aug 2011 - Apr 2014

As an Inside Solution Architect (ISA) within CDW’s networking practice, I supported seven Small Business sales teams who sold to all states west of the Mississippi river. The technologies that I supported include switching, routing, wireless networking, load balancing, application delivery control and WAN optimization. The manufacturers whose solutions I supported included Aruba Networks, Brocade, Cisco, Citrix, F5, HP, Juniper and Riverbed. To help drive opportunity identification I regularly trained my sales teams on networking solutions, opportunity leading indicators, and industry trends. Show less

    • Aruba Networks Partner Specialist
      • Jan 2010 - Aug 2011

As the first CDW Partner Specialist supporting Aruba Networks, I was responsible for supporting both CDW and CDW•G inside and field sales teams while also acting as a liaison between CDW and Aruba Networks sales forces. My responsibilities included pre-sales client calls, network design, quote assistance, sales and technical training, promotion execution, and business development. In the beginning, I focused heavily on the CDW Networking Architects because they are the individuals responsible for making the technical recommendations to CDW clients. Considering Cisco’s dominance in the market, this was no small feat. I had to prove that we not only had equal or better technology but that we were easier to do business and more profitable. This is where the requirements of my success extended beyond the technology and into business development. Show less

My career in I.T. Sales began as a CDW•G Account Manager selling to Northwest U.S. higher-education institutions which was, at the time, a largely uncharted territory for CDW. I started without a book of business having to identify and develop my own clientele. While in this role, I developed strong relationships with my customers, managed large I.T. projects from identification to closure, and effectively sold a multitude of technologies, from more commodity items like printers and computers to advanced technologies like low-latency switches and analytics software. The golden rule at CDW has always been to leverage your resources. I heeded that advice and established long-lasting relationships with my various technical architects whom I would rely upon to help me address my client’s requirements. With a strong passion for technology, and a desire to help others, my exposure to the role of the CDW Architect convinced me that, like them, I wanted to become highly specialized in an area of Information Technology. For me, at the time, my greatest area of interest in information technology was in networking technologies. With that goal in mind, I pursued various vendor networking certifications and focused more time and attention on targeting my clients’ networking business. Show less
