I’ve been fortunate enough to work with Andy in 2 capacities now - first as my director at Reed and secondly when he placed me here at Oscar. Nobody who meets Andy will ever have a bad word to say about him. He’s one of the most genuine blokes in recruitment and an all round good person. When I was at Reed he was always there for training and support and when I was looking for a new role he didn’t just shove any old opportunity at me. He asked me to take 1 phone call for 15 minutes with a director and that was all it took for me to know I’d found the perfect role for me. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about where they place you and will do what’s right for you, you won’t go far wrong with Andy Gardner.

It takes an extremely talented & self-motivated recruiter to successfully transition from a strategic Senior leadership role in a large business having focused on one specific sector for 20+ years, to starting your own recruitment business from scratch in another area. Andy has shown than not only is the transition possible, but it can be hugely successful if you’re brave enough to try it. I worked with Andy for a number of years at Reed and although in different sectors and at different ends of the country, we worked collaboratively on a number of projects and initiatives and I found him to be engaging, professional and extremely knowledgeable about our industry. Earlier this year after we had both left the business, we reconnected as recruiter & candidate and the entire process from my initial discussion with him about where I was & where I was going until the day I walked into my new role this past Monday was an absolute pleasure - particularly impressive given the current volatility of both the job market & the recruitment industry as a whole! I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Andy to any senior recruiter looking for their next challenge. A more knowledgeable, professional and competent R2R you will never find. Thanks for everything Andy!

Pinpointing and managing the career moves of exceptional Leadership and Operational Talent in the Professional Recruitment Consultancy World, keen to talk to Managing Consultants, Team Managers, Practice Managers, Business Managers (incl Area and Regional) and Directors (incl Associate, Divisional and Managing) with a natural leaning towards IT and STEM. Happy to talk to recruiters at all levels, whether they are looking to take their first step into management or their first step into the board room. Particularly interested in talking to people about all things technology consultancy, if you have experience within a SOW (Statement of Work) or Work Package environment then get in touch. #lin2r #fortheclimbers 🏔 Show less

After 21 great years at Reed I enjoyed a 6 week sabbatical overseas and some time off with my young family doing some fantastic things I'd missed out on. I ran three marathons in Europe and the USA, had a spell as a key worker at Amazon and focused on increasing my network and visibility on LinkedIn through regular activity. Whilst I am still open to a strategic leadership role within the professional recruitment sector, the market winds have changed with billing leaders being in greater demand, hence the creation of Peak Talent. Who knows I may even place myself one day.😃 Show less

    • Senior Recruitment Consultant
      • Oct 1997 - Oct 1998

Initially my role was as a resourcer, interviewing large numbers of candidates on a one to one basis to assess suitability for warehouse and factory work, eventually through a desire to grow the business, I progressed to being the most senior consultant in a team of five. My role then allowed me to develop the business through providing a dedicated quality service and strong account management often at the expense of our competitors.
