  Orchard Hill offers artisan cider and Ten66 Pommeau, and is based at Soons Orchards that is approximately a one hour drive north of NYC in the beautiful Hudson Valley. We make premium cider for wine drinkers that tend to be drier since we make ciders that we like to drink ourselves. We love cider that reflects the contribution of quality fruit - our mission is to put our orchard in a glass. We work to let the apples express themselves by combining a very traditional and minimalist approach to cider making with modern winemaking techniques. The outcome is a range of refreshing and expressive ciders and our Ten66 Pommeau. Ten66 Pommeau is one of our proudest accomplishments and was Orchard Hill’s first product. At the time of it's first release we learned we were one of the first producers of pommeau in the United States and definitely the first in New York - a true NY original. Ten66 is inspired by the typical French Norman aperitif and it is named for the year of the Norman invasion of England. This still, balanced aperitif is made with apple brandy that is aged in french oak wine barrels, then blended with fresh sweet apple juice from our own sustainably grown apples. We age this pioneering pommeau for a minimum of 3 years in barrel. Show less
