I would like to give through this letter of recommandations my personal appreciation of the work done by Andrew towards my Store Managers when I was District Manager at Foot Locker Europe. Above all the languages competencies from Andrew due to his various capacities in French or else, the position held by Andrew is not an easy one. It requires more skills to give the best support to the field teams and solve issues to permit the manager to operate his store immediately at opening time. Yes, on the European side, Andrew was most of the time the contact from my managers. So why was he doing the difference? He had the soil s of listening in order to identify the best way the problem to solve, knowing that the people on the other side on the phone are not IT experts and even less in english! So his capacities to listen and drive the conversation to get to the right point is a huge ability. Secondly, Andrew has also high skills on stress management. Most of the time, stores employees are in contact with the help desk at a crucial moment to launch operations or during peak moments of the day, resulting in high stress due to situation and on top stress due to lack of english langage knowledge Andrew demonstrated several times that he could solve electrical situations efficiently! Last point is the 'after solving issue' by following and monitoring the evolution of the store situation, avoiding repeating situations. Real skills of proactivity. to recap, a team under the lead of Andrew would result in high efficiency results through Listening, Proactivity and Stress management.

I started at Foot Locker in July 2010 as a level-one store-support analyst for our POS systems worldwide. I diagnosed and implemented solutions for the following areas: Hardware: IBM cash registers, back office PCs, servers, Lexmark and Samsung printers, and others. Software: Foot Locker cash register POS software in both USA and European platforms. Also, Peoplesoft HRDA (Shredi) and financial software. ITSM (Front Range) contact management software. Networking: Diagnosing ISP-based or LAN-related issues. I worked with Cisco routers, Motorola POE hubs and Cisco Catalyst switches. I acted upon my diagnoses, escalating to the ISP, replacing equipment or dispatching cabling technicians as necessary with a near perfect track record of success. I became proficient at walking store personnel through troubleshooting procedures in layman’s terms. I soon distinguished myself at Help Desk as an analyst who resolved the vast majority of issues on the first call. I provided first level support to our European stores in six languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese and German. After six months, I was promoted to shift leader for the early morning shift, attending to mostly our European stores. As a Help Desk Shift leader, I am responsible to ensure a high level of support for our stores, assisting and training technicians ensuring that proper protocols are being followed. I monitor incoming calls for issues that could be affecting multiple stores, gather data and escalate to the proper departments. I am currently a key player on the European platform and am the main go-to person for troubleshooting and procedural issues. I am the de-facto supervisor during the early morning shift encouraging peak performance and ensuring that all calls are properly documented to provide continuity for the next technician. I provide support to our stores and other Help Desk technicians for Oracle based products such as Peoplesoft HRDA, and Peoplesoft Finance. Show less
