  I have worked for over 20 years representing victims and survivors of catastrophic crashes. My partners at Young & McCarthy LLP have merged with Leizerman & Associates to form The Law Firm for Truck Safety. We concentrate our practice on catastrophic truck crashes and wrongful death litigation. I hold an active, interstate, Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and I regularly drive my own Peterbilt semi-tractor and 45-foot car trailer. I have testified as a Truck Safety Advocate before the U.S. House of Representatives, Subcommittee on Highways and Transit. I am a member of the Owner Operators Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA). I have testified on behalf of OOIDA and the Ohio Association for Justice's Truck Safety Section before the Ohio Senate Transportation Committee. I currently serve as an Executive Officer of the American Association for Justice's Trucking Litigation Group. I am the immediate, past president of the Lorain County Bar Association (LCBA). I am "AV" rated by Martindale-Hubbell and I have been included in Ohio Super Lawyers. I have received numerous awards from AAJ TLG, OAJ, and was the LCBA Member of the Year in 2016. I serve on the Board of Regents for the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys (ATAA) and I currently serve as ATAA's Education Chair. I lecture frequently at continuing legal education programs on trucking litigation and trial advocacy. I have served as a Moderator and on the Organization Committee for two industry "Truck Underride Roundtables" hosted at the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) at their crash test facility in Ruckersville, Virginia. I am also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). I am a partner with The Law Firm for Truck Safety with attorneys located in Cleveland, Columbus, Toledo, and Nashville.
