Among my responsibilities were to: Drive and develop novel technologies for the company by designing, prototyping, gathering data on, and iterating experiments and supporting fixtures to create prototype parts. Document and disseminate this process to the rest of the team in both verbal and written forms. Developing scalable processes for supply chain management, manufacturing transfer, production documentation, revision control and change order requests. From this position, I gained valuable experience in tailoring microfluidic device design to be easier to manufacture, working in a small team, and hands-on work with components and small machines. I also gained experience with manufacturing devices such as lasers, plotters, and a tape caster as well as metrology devices to optically gage product dimensions against desired specifications. By programming these devices, I was able to optimize product manufacturing and quality control. I was also able to work with curing silicone products into various shapes/molds. Show less
