Andrew is really easy to get along with and a very friendly and nice person. It was a pleasure to have him as a co-worker/colleague in the Lab at Penn State University for more than 4 years. Andrew always impressed me with his strong work ethics. He is remarkably detail-oriented, organized, and has very disciplined approach to his work. An outstanding mentor and role model for undergraduates and graduate students. Andrew directed multiple projects, wrote and obtained research grants. He would definitely be an asset to any organization.

I have known Andrew for over six years at the time of writing. Andrew was a postdoc while I was still a graduate student within the same lab at the Pennsylvania State University. He is one of the most diligent and hard-working scientists I had the pleasure to work with. Andrew has great interpersonal skills and is an exceptional team player and mentor. He mentored many undergraduate and graduate students during his postdoc. Indeed, people working with him found his enthusiasm, creativity, and curiosity very inspiring. Andrew is also a prolific scientist and a great collaborator in large multifaceted projects. He forms strategic collaborations to achieve results. I have collaborated with Andrew and besides being an expert in his field, I find him to be very responsive and dependable. Therefore, Andrew has my utmost recommendation. Given the opportunity, I would work with him again.

An investigation into the viral and host factors that influence recombination in enteroviruses, with Poliovirus being the model species. My work allowed me to author and co-author many peer reviewed publications. I was also chosen to present my research (offered papers) at international scientific meetings that included: The annual Society of General Microbiology conferences in Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham and the Europic conference held in Belgium I also gained experience in teaching by aiding and overseeing medium-term undergraduate laboratory classes. Additionally, I co-supervised final year undergraduate projects. Show less
