  The initial contract at the Canggu Club in Bali, Indonesia was as the Sport and Recreation Manager. This role quickly evolved and rapidly moved into operations and within the first year, Club Manager. This was a particularly diverse role that covered all areas of Club management – membership sales, F&B, sport & recreation, events, marketing, HR, accounting and public relations. Event production and promotion was one of the key areas of focus and such events as the Yak Canggu Classic Open Tennis Tournament, the Mazda Melbourne Cup Lawn Party, the Bali 10s International Rugby Tournament and the Bali 9s Aussie Rules Tournament amongst others required approaching many companies for participation and sponsorship, which contributed to developing a very strong locally based network of businesses. The Canggu Club has more than 1200 members predominately of European and Australian decent. The Club Manger position allowed close relationships to be formed with large numbers of these members.
