As a Senior DMT, I am in charge of a small team whose job is to complete corrective and preventative jobs within my shift rotation. Our job mainly includes servicing, die change repairs and breakdown repairs of aluminium casting dies. We ensure that machines are able to run constantly within a 24hr period within rotating shifts. My job within the team is to ensure all jobs are carried out correctly and efficiently, making the decisions on how a die is to be repaired, work with higher up supervisors and managers in order to complete the job and to train people within my team to an acceptable standard of work.

I was in charge of setting up, running and programming of all lights for all stage shows the theatre company would produce. Most of these shows took place on their own premises, but on the odd occasion shows would be performed at the MAC and Belvoir Theatre. This meant I had to be adaptable to new technology in changing environments when other theaters were being used. I enjoyed working to ensure the theatre experience would be enhanced by my lighting designs and staying organized to fit with stage directions.
