  I began teaching guitar for seven years, and have been playing for 14 now. I primarily focus on teaching beginner and intermediate electric guitar players who are looking to develop their songwriting techniques. My students who have stuck with me for several years have shown a great interest in learning blues and classic rock styles of playing. I try to address this while showing more contemporary music, and bringing in examples from my own history. I had played in metal bands for years, but now stick to playing lo-fi, neo soul, and more folk music.
