Andrew Slattery MAPM
I worked with Andy for 15 months when he was working with Birmingham City Council. Over that time Andy designed, developed and built an ‘Education Data Dashboard’ which pulls together over a million cells of data from all Education departments into a single mechanism for assessing the vulnerability of Birmingham Schools. This work won Andy many well deserved plaudits including from the Birmingham Education Commissioner Sir Mike Tomlinson, The Leader of the Council, The Chief Executive and the Strategic Director for People To achieve this Andy had to quickly learn the Education Service’s business, all its constituent parts, stakeholders and data, and code and build a Dashboard. Andy exceeded every expectation, would deliver all that was asked of him and more, demonstrated a peerless work ethic, and made a very positive difference to our department and the council. Through being affable, friendly, engaging, swift to learn, and with great skill at stakeholder management, Andy was able to maintain very positive relationships with all stakeholders and is held in very high regard by all he worked with. On a personal note he is a great guy to have around the office and I hope I get to work with him in future.
