Service Manager
-
Nov 2013 - Oct 2015
Utilized my 7+ years of experience installing various roof systems, paired with leadership qualities refined in the U.S. Army as a sergeant, to lead one of the best Service departments in the State of Florida. Ran a service department with 3-5 administrative staff, 25-35 line personnel on a day to day basis in order to ensure customer satisfaction, project time lines, profit margins and owner's expectations were met or exceeded on a consistent basis. Changed the culture and environment from average and contentious to positive, and productive with an overall positive atmosphere that allowed for team continuity. By the time I left the division, members from other areas of the company wanted to work for me. Maintained service accounts with key partners such as Publix, Home Depot, Cushman Wakefield, Lowes, Marriott properties, and countless Condo Associations. Lead all service divisions within the company in total sales and profit margin as a division. Show less

Lead man

Apr 2011 - Apr 2013
Journeyman roofer in multiple roofing systems and application processes. Installed complicated, multi- step green roofing systems, to the most simple of TPO single ply roofing systems. Installed projects such as the Johnson Controls HQ building ( a leed certified project ). New construction volume installs to smaller complicated repairs were part of day to day activities. Working for a contractor that has been in business for 105+ years provided excellent experience at the highest level of expertise. Working with, and finally leading a group of skilled technicians on a day to day basis provided a high level of expectations that will follow me throughout my career. Show less

May 2005 - Dec 2010
Graduated High School a semester early and joined the Local 65 Union for Waterproofing and Roofing. Worked for a 100+ year old established, respected, high quality commercial roofing company. Went from the 18 year old " young guy" moving the garbage to the dumpster to a trusted lead man on a crew installing high end commercial roofing systems. Working with highly skilled, experienced crews, paired with the training provided by the Union apprenticeship program gave me a set of highly refined skills and a base of knowledge unparalleled in the industry. Learning from the start to treat my job with the approach of a skilled craftsman pays dividends many years later as I approach my current day to day activities. Show less
