As a Dynamics lab technician, I learned how to operate various pieces of equipment used to simulate factors that a package might experience, such as vibration tables, compression testers, and environmental chambers, became familiar with ISTA test formats, and became an ISTA certified lab technician. As the Materials Lab Coordinator, I made sure that the Materials lab was sufficiently stocked with supplies needed for student projects, like plastic films and corrugated board, learned how to operate each machine in the lab, wrote SOPs for the operations, and worked in the lab to help students out with any questions they had. I have worked in the labs while I was enrolled and took off when I was on co-op and had graduated with a Bachelors.
